Add in a pumpkin cannon, a haunted barn at night, and mountain views in the background, and it's worth the drive from Denver.

One of the largest agritourism destinations in Texas, Dewberry Farm's pumpkin patch spans acres of u-pick pumpkins alongside a corn maze, zip lines, and a pig races attraction — a solid full-day stop if you're road-tripping through the Houston area in October.
Most of these are seasonal and get genuinely crowded on weekends close to Halloween, so if you can swing a weekday visit in early-to-mid October, you'll have a much better time.
